Dear Parents,
Welcome to fourth grade! My name is Ms. Riddle and I am extremely excited to teach your student this year! Because I am new to the school, I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I am originally from Burlington, North Carolina but I went to school in Greensboro, NC at UNC Greensboro. I just graduated this past May and moved to Charlotte a few weeks ago. I absolutely love spending time with my family. I have an older sister who is in law school, a younger brother who is a freshman in college, and a younger sister who is a freshman in high school. I love every holiday because it usually means I get to spend time with my whole family! I have a MAJOR sweet tooth and love anything chocolate. I also love to be active and play volleyball and soccer!
This year, my main focus is growth. I want your student to grow in every way possible. In order to do this, they need to be focused, determined, and ready to conquer whatever this year holds!
I am a firm believer that children learn in different ways. I will do my best to accommodate each student’s needs in order to help them achieve the growth I know they can attain.
This classroom is just as much your student’s classroom as it is mine. I want them to be apart of this classroom and make decisions in order to make the classroom the best possible environment for them to walk into everyday. I want the students to take responsibility for their learning and I want them to realize that they are capable of more than they might think they are.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at any time! I want you to be an active part of this class, just as your students are, and I believe that if we all work together these students will have the best year yet!

I can’t wait to watch this year unfold and I am excited to start my teaching career here at Nations Ford Elementary and with all of your bright students!
