Mr. Henry

About me: Shortly after completing my BA in English, I found myself on a circumpolar flight to Taipei speaking no Chinese, however, I was excited to start my new career as a teacher. As the plane descended through the clouds, rain began to spray against the windows like a firehose. For many weeks, I watched that same rain splash against the windows of my first classroom as I drank coffee and planned for my afternoon classes. I’m still surprised I only ruined three shirts with coffee stains during those first two years. As I drew out lesson plans, constructed “foldables”, and developed my own teaching style, I grew into my new role as an educator in a far away country. It was on those drizzly mornings I learned to love teaching; however, I soon decided I wanted to come back to teach in the United States to be closer to my family. Since coming to Charlotte, I have started studying my Masters in the Science of Education and sponsored the Nations Ford Morning News Show.
