The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) Advanced Studies department is dedicated to identifying, nurturing, and challenging the academic potential of all students, particularly those identified as academically or intellectually gifted. They accomplish this by overseeing a comprehensive range of programs and services designed to provide rigorous, differentiated instruction and prepare students for success in higher education and beyond. CMS Advanced Studies supports instructional programming throughout our district to challenge students and maximize their potential. ​
