Peace Day 2025 - What an AMAZING day.

September 19, 2025 - This year marked our 6th year celebrating the International Day of Peace at Piedmont

Students spent Friday September 19 engaged in Peace Day activities. They created their symbols on the field, created their handprints with their pledge for peace, they made paper cranes, created peace day slides and made the Frayer Model for Peace. The students then completed their REFLECTION on Peace Day for their school-wide Community Engagement. Our first of two school-wide events this year.

Our Inaugural Year celebrating Peace Day at Irwin Academic Center Campus. This event was planned and executed through IB Ambassadors and high school students that wanted to support this special Peace Day. It was on Saturday Sept. 21, 2019. We had music, Indian Dance, Poetry Reciting, Face Painting and Hand Prints. We came together as a group and made the peace symbol as a collective group of people working together. Ms. Deming, the TD Coordinator at Irwin at the time helped make it happen. The elementary students particpated with families as well.

Students decorated their doors in 6th grade to reflect their sustainability goal.

Community volunteers answered questions for students regarding the 17 sustainable goals. This is the Honeywell Booth speaking to sustainable aviation.
