Community Partnerships

Piedmont is passionate about developing partnerships to enhance our IB program. We work collaboratively with CMS to continuously expand relationships that directly support and enhance student learning, staff engagement, and family involvement.

Piedmont partners with the Belmont Neighborhood to collect food and support our Belmont Neighbors.  The Belmont Community also donates supplies and items needed to our school often.  

Annual Educational Field Trips to support Career and College readiness and to nurture a desire for life-long learning.  The uptown campus is located less than a mile from our Piedmont Middle School Campus.  

A Clean Air Carolinas Representative works with Piedmont to maintain our Ozone Garden. Here she is speaking to students about the importance of native plants and how to prepare the beds for the winter. 

A Clean Air Carolinas Educational specialist helped a group of 8th grade students become citizen scientist.  Here they are learning about particulate matter readers. 

Emmett, a former Piedmont student, has volunteered his time and talent to support our Charlotte Mecklenburg schools as well as  recruitments and service opportunities that enhance our IB Program here at Piedmont.

Christian Davis ERD 8th Grade Community Project Work Day 2021

The Catawba River Keepers work closely with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Storm Water Services.  The 8th grade project that Christian did this year included a partnership with both agencies. 

Coming together to support the Leukemia Lymphoma Society is an annual event at Piedmont that includes students, staff, and families. 

Piedmont participates in the Light the Night campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society each year.  In this picture we supported Talia, one of our students who is a cancer survivor.
