Career & College Promise (“CCP”) is North Carolina’s dual enrollment program for high school students. This program allows eligible NC high school students to enroll in college classes at North Carolina community colleges for FREE while remaining enrolled at their high school. Students who successfully complete college courses can earn college credit that can transfer to other post-secondary institutions after graduation from high school. The purpose of Career and College Promise is to offer structured opportunities for qualified high school students to dual enroll in community college courses at CPCC that provide pathways that lead to transferring, a certificate, diploma, or degree as well as provide entry-level jobs skills.
College Transfer Pathways (Must have >2.8 unweighted GPA)- Designed for students planning to continue their educational career beyond high school to eventually achieve an Associate's or Bachelor's degree at a community college or university. Courses taken through these pathways are eligible for transfer to all UNC member institutions, so long as the student earns a 'C' or higher. These courses will earn AP weight (+1). Students may select from the following pathways:

Career & Technical Education - Allows students to begin a certification or diploma program in a particular technical field or career area. Effective fall 2019, some Career and Technical pathways may include Universal General Education Courses. Students cannot register for any universal general education courses unless they fully meet transfer pathway criteria. CTE courses will be weighted as a standard level course.
