Volunteer proctors are always needed and appreciated!
What are the requirements?
At least 18 years old and not a student enrolled in the K-12 Public Schools system
Must be a registered CMS volunteer (see link HERE for registration)
Be available from 7:15 - 11:00 (this would be the maximum, the majority of the sessions end well before this)
What are the duties of a proctor?
Here is a handout that explains most of what you need to know about proctoring.
You would be assisting the test administrator with monitoring students and maintaining a secure and appropriate testing environment.
You would receive training prior to stepping into the role of proctor. The training will include information found in the Testing Code of Ethics and the Proctor's Guide which can be found on the NCDPI website.
How do I sign up to be a Proctor at Hough High?
Register with CMS as a volunteer (Click HERE for the link) and email me deniseb.mayes@cms.k12.nc.us stating you wish to be a volunteer proctor!)
Come to a training - you must have one face-to-face training per year and sign the Proctor Accountability Form
*NOTE: Outside proctors cannot be utilized during this time due to COVID restrictions.
