Seniors
Welcome Cohort 2020/Class of 2024 to your Senior Year!
Please use the links below to assist you.
Each senior is REQUIRED to meet with their counselor so we know what your plan is and can support you accordingly.
Step 1: Select your School Counselor to book your appointment.
Please notify your teacher of your senior meeting and forward the meeting confirmation if needed.
Step 2: Show up for your appointment at the designated time.
If you forget or miss your appointment, you need to sign up for another date/time.
Appointments are designed for the student and counselor with a specific agenda. Parents are welcome to attend or schedule a separate appointment via email.
Step 3: The following should be completed prior to meeting with your counselor:
Consideration of your post-secondary plan (ie. College, Gap Year, Military, Work etc).
All colleges you are applying to should be listed in Naviance under the “Colleges I am Applying To” Section.
Knowledge of who you will need a letter of recommendation from for any schools you are applying to.
A completed Senior Brag Sheet
Record your Name for Graduation
We need all seniors to record their name for graduation. Please complete the Senior contact form during your senior meeting.
Please click on this FORM to find directions on how to request your transcript.
Official Transcripts are sent electronically through Naviance directly to the college you request. See video below for instructions.
Each senior will receive an updated unofficial copy of your transcript, for your use. To locate it, please use the following steps in Naviance.
Click on About Me
Select My Stuff
Select Documents Shared with Me.
These can be used to upload to college applications that require you to self-report a transcript.
If you are applying to NC colleges/universities, please send your official transcripts through CFNC. A video with instructions can be found HERE.
Due to the high volume of requests, we ask that you be patient as we process all student requests.
While you may have a specific deadline to submit all of your materials, we often have a different deadline for when all of our documents are due.
If you need an unofficial transcript, you may download it directly from your Naviance account.
If you need an official transcript for something other than college, please request it HERE.
Match your Common App with Naviance
If you are applying to a Common Application School, you need to MATCH your Common Application account to your Naviance account. Please see steps below:
Make sure you have completed the FERPA waiver on your Common App account.
You can find this on the Common Application website within the "Assign Recommenders" tab of the application and the "Release Authorization" link must be checked.
When this is done, log in to you Naviance account, click on “Colleges I am Applying To”, and use the Common App Matching blue box to match your accounts. This allows us to send transcripts and recommendations to Common App Schools.
Watch the video below if you need further assistance.
Request Letters of Recommendation
Make sure the colleges you are applying to require a teacher letter of recommendation.
You must ask teachers via email if they are able to write you a letter of recommendation. Do this now if you have not already done so. It is also a good idea to send a thank you note or email after they write you a letter!
Requests should then be entered in Naviance. If you are unsure of how to do this, click on the video below for detailed instructions. Teachers must agree before you add them in your Naviance account.
Click HERE for more details about this process.
Complete the Senior Brag Sheet
If a school requires a school report, counselor statement or recommendation you must have a completed Brag Sheet.
Email the Brag Sheet to your counselor directly.

College Visits
Many college admissions representatives will visit Harding this year to meet with students. This is a great way to learn more about the college and admission requirements. Visits are virtual or on campus.
College visits will be posted under “What’s New.” You can also click the “Colleges” tab and then "Research Colleges" and then click "College Visits."
You must register through Naviance and SCREENSHOT YOUR CONFIRMATION PAGE (the page that lists the college, visit time and says REGISTERED).
