Naviance

12th graders should:

  • Keep “Colleges I’m Applying To” list up to date

  • Request letters of recommendation from teachers

  • Monitor and update status of application, including:

  • Method of application (common app or direct to institution)

  • Deadlines

  • Letters of recommendation requested and submitted

  • Admissions decisions

  • Research and link to scholarship applications

  • Indicate where final transcript should be sent

9th, 10th and 11th graders can:

  • Access unweighted GPA, weighted GPA, and class rank

  • Periodically update résumé

  • Complete career interest inventories and explore careers

  • Begin looking at potential colleges & update “College I’m Thinking About” section accordingly

  • Research scholarships to prepare for senior year applications

How can I access the resources? As a student? As a parent?

Students: Log into Naviance

From your High School’s website, or the CMS District Website (www.wearecms.com), complete the following steps to log into your Naviance account:

  • Click on the “Students” tab at the top of the screen

  • Click on “Student Portal

  • Click on the Naviance" icon at the bottom of the page

  • Login using your NCEdCloud Username and Password

Parents:

Parents can access Naviance in 2 ways:

  1. Through their student's account

  2. Request a separate access code through your child's counselor.

Please NOTE: Parent Access is VIEW-ONLY. You will not be able to alter your student's information.
