Welcome to my class. My name is Mr. Torrence. I have been teaching for 17 years. Before I taught school I worked with the YWCA and the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department as a Youth Programs Specialist. I am a proud product of Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and a graduate of UNC Charlotte, where I received my Bachelors’ and Masters degrees. Last year, I completed my add-on certificate for School Administration. Below I listed a few things about me to help you know me better.

• I have a wife, one daughter and four God-children.

• Even though I teach math, social studies is my favorite subject.

• My favorite sport is basketball but lately I’ve been getting into lacrosse.

• I was my daughters math teacher from 5th through 8th grade.
