Club Week
These are held at the beginning of each school semester in the cafeteria lobby during lunch periods. Each club is responsible for advertising and recruiting new members. Congress can help assist in social media marketing by re-posting posts if you tag @eastmeckeagles. For big events, you can request to collaborate with the Instagram.
Clubs are able to drop off and keep materials in the StuCo room. We have a limited number of tables, please plan on making your own arrangements for this. Tables, posters, flyers, trifolds, etc., can be stored in the room for a limited amount of time and with appropriate communication with our ICC President. Make sure you know what you brought and where you left it. Congress is not responsible for any losses.
Club Event Approval Process
If a club wants to create an event (ex. a spirit day) then you will have to email Kate Topham or DM her on GroupMe with what you want to do. You will receive feedback or approval.
If there is a big event your club wants to plan (after-school, involves an outside source, etc.) please fill out the event approval form and notify me of the event.
An administrative meeting his help monthly to go over event proposals. This NEEDS to be filled out for most events. If you are unsure if you need to fill it out for a proposed event, please ask Kate, Jordan, Swarnim, Mrs. Richards, or an administrator. In general, please follow these steps for big events:
Either email or talk to Kate at an ICC meeting. The club calendar will need to be checked for any conflicting activities.
Fill out the event approval form made by admin.
Once it’s been approved, please message Kate again to let her know. She can help assist from there.
Campus Cleanup
Student Congress hosts two campus cleaning events per year: one in the fall and one in the spring. Three members from each club are required to come. Attendance will be taken. Start discussing with your club members to see who is available to participate. Thank you for everyone who was able to attend our past fall Campus Cleanup event this year!
