Position: Legal Marketing/Social Media Summer Internship for Highly-Motivated HS Students
Internship duties include, but are not limited to, creating and posting social media content related to law firm and our areas of practice and coordinating efforts with our website hosting and marketing company to improve the law firm's website and social media presence. Student should have some experience using LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

What is the deadline for submitting my Student Leaders application? The deadline for submitting your application for the 2021 program year is 11:59 pm eastern time on Friday, January 29. There are no exceptions to this deadline and extensions will not be granted. All required components must be received by the deadline or the application will be considered incomplete.
Who is eligible for the Student Leaders program? Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply for the program: • Current juniors or seniors in high school • Legally authorized to work in the Unites States without sponsorship through the end of September, 2021 • Be able to participate in an 8‐week paid internship at a local nonprofit/charitable organization and work 35 hours a week • Be able to participate in a week‐long Student Leadership Summit in Washington, DC (July 12 ‐ 17, 2021) (All expenses paid as part of Student Leaders. This week will be part of your 8‐ week experience.) • Be a student in good standing at your school • Live in one of the eligible markets for summer 2021 I have submitted an application online – when can I expect to receive an update on its status? We anticipate that all Student Leaders applicants are notified via the email provided in their application on Friday, April 9, 2021
Is a letter of recommendation required as part of the application? One letter of recommendation is required as part of the application. That letter must be: • From an administrator/teacher/guidance counselor or coach at the student’s current school. • On school letterhead • Signed by the recommender • In a pdf format • Received or uploaded by the application deadline Any application that does not include the required letter of recommendation will be disqualified from consideration. My school/teacher has a policy of not providing me with a letter of recommendation, it must go to the school/program directly. What do I do in this case? In this instance, you must upload a document to the Letter of Recommendation field in your application that notes the letter will be forthcoming. Then, once you have submitted your application, please have your teacher/administrator email the letter to studentleaders@bofa.com. Please ask them to include your nameand request ID so that we may upload the letter to the correct application. All letters must be received prior to the January 29th deadline. Late letters will not be accepted and related applications will be considered incomplete. For additional information, please review the Recommendation Fact Sheet. Where do I find my request ID”? The request ID is included in the confirmation email you receive once you have submitted your application. You must submit your application before we can attach any letter of recommendation. If you need to have your recommendation emailed to us, please submit your application early so that you have the required information to share with your recommender.
Is a resume required as part of my application? No, a resume is not required, but you have the option to include one with your application. Should you choose to include your resume, please limit it to no more than two(2) pages.

If I am selected for the program, will I be working for Bank of America? If you are selected for the Student Leader program, your internship will be at a nonprofit organization that is local to you. These organizations are partners of the Bank and are selected by Bank of America.
How long will my internship last? The internship is eight weeks in duration, inclusive of the week spent at the Student Leader Summit in Washington, DC.
When will my internship begin? Internship start dates vary by market. You can expect your internship to begin shortly following the end of your school year. The internship will run for 8 weeks and includes the week in DC.
Is participation in the Student Leaders Summit mandatory? Yes, if you are unable to participate in the Summit in full, you are ineligible for the Student Leader program. The 2021 Summit will be held at the Washington Hilton July 12‐17, 2021.
Is there a cost to me to attend the Student Leader Summit? The cost to attend the Student Leader Summit is paid for by Bank of America, this includes baggage fees, travel to and from Washington DC, hotel accommodations and all meals. Students only need to pay for their own souvenirs and incidentals. The 2020 Student Leader program ran as a virtual program. Will the 2021 program be virtual as well?
While we hope that both in‐person internships and an in person Student Leader Summit in Washington, DC will be possible, all programming and events will be in line with local and national guidelines around gatherings and travel and may be subject to change
