Annual "Increasing Diversity in the Legal Profession Virtual Conference." This free one-day Zoom conference is designed to encourage diverse college and high school students to explore a career in the legal profession. Parents are welcome to attend.
The conference will include panels with North and South Carolina law school representatives, law students, local attorneys and judges as well as the opportunity to listen to this year’s keynote speaker, Hon. Albert Diaz. Hon. Albert Diaz is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and was nominated to the court by President Barack Obama. He is the first Hispanic judge to serve on the Fourth Circuit. Prior to his appointment to the Court of Appeals, Diaz was a North Carolina state superior court judge and an appellate judge for the Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals.

We’re very excited to announce upcoming sessions of the Perry Virtual Experience in February 2021. The Perry Virtual Experience is a free, 2.5-hour, interactive online experience for high school and college-aged women who are interested in pursuing careers in orthopaedic surgery and engineering. Participants will hear from women leaders in these fields and dive into online orthopedic simulations and biomechanics experiments.
