I have been teaching in the CMS school system since 2011 and am passionate about art, art making and sharing my love of Artists and Art History. It is my personal goal that all students I teach realize that art skills are not automatic but are learned. Not all artists draw real things, but all artists use a set of rules to help their work look better. I hope that the courses I teach help students learn something new about themselves and the world around us. Art is everywhere and even though that statement has been used millions of times, it is true. There is a place in our Art Community for every student. I have hope that students will find a place for themselves in that community and they achieve the personal creativity they desire.

My classes are stimulating, process rigorous, and informative. My expectations are that students are engaged in their projects, which means actively working and thinking creatively in class every day. An art career may not be for everyone but learning and participating in educational art experience is essential to a well rounded education.
