Contemporary Crafts and Design
Course Description: In this course, students learn the foundations of art, the process of creating objects, and art inspired by cultural craftsmanship and design, which also includes cultural history. Students study and are tested on a variety of topics in class, including the Elements and Principles of Design, vocabulary, and art criticism within the classroom.

Students study and are tested on a variety of topics in class, including the Elements and Principles of Design, vocabulary, and art criticism within the classroom.
Project Requirements: Individual projects include quizzes/tests to check for understanding. Major projects will also be graded as tests. All art is graded using a rubric based on the individual objectives for each project. Projects will be produced over the course of 3-7 class days. There will be a 5 day grace period for work due but the student will need to work on the project OUTSIDE of class. Lessons will continue as per my curriculum.
