Proficient/Advanced Visual Arts

Course Description: This class is preparation for either AP or further creative development in school or the art community; all prerequisites to this class have covered a variety of art materials, the history of art as well as a personal exploration of ideas and themes. Through personal study and creative research. Projects are approached with previous knowledge along with the development of their own creative voice. 

Project Requirements:  As a Proficient/Advanced student you should be confident to think and reason in a visual way. Students will have the support to create successful projects through the introduction of information, history, and the creative process. Major projects will also be graded as tests. All art is graded using a rubric based on the individual objectives for each project. Projects will be produced over the course of 3-7 class days. There will be a 3 day grace period for work due but the student will need to work on the project OUTSIDE of class. Lessons will continue as per my curriculum. 

Mixed Media Works Based on Fear/Phobias
