About Officer Roseboro

Officer Christopher L. Roseboro is one of the co-instructors of the Public Safety program at Hawthorne Academy. Serving as the CMPD A.S.A.P Instructor, he is still an active officer with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and is the "on the ground" liaison between CMPD and CMS. Officer Roseboro attended NC State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Television/Radio Broadcast Engineering and a Minor in Graphic Design. Officer Roseboro was a member of the NC State Football and Track teams and graduated on the Dean’s List with Honors while serving on the Student Union Athletic Board and was the student leader of the NC State Wolfpack Student Youth/Community Outreach Program. Roseboro is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity International.

After graduating from NC State Officer Roseboro began working as a News Producer /Reporter & Broadcast Technical Engineer for FOX News, FOX Sports South, ABC, UPN and as a freelance filmmaker. Officer was the morning Co-Personality on 98.7 Simons “Wicker in the Morning” Radio Show and hosted the show segment titled “Rosy’s World” and was the #2 ranked radio talk show in the Piedmont Triad. Officer Roseboro has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from Aspen University.

After a successful career in broadcast engineering Officer Roseboro completely had a change of heart and as he puts it “Wanted to work in a career in which he could give back to the community after seeing so much tragedy in the News industry ” and started a career as a Firefighter/Medical responder with the Greensboro Fire Dept. Roseboro has worked as a firefighter and medic for nearly 15 years and has certifications in Rope Rappelling Rescue, Flood Water Rescue, Firefighting and Fire Suppression, Vehicle Extrication Rescue, Weapons of Mass Destruction & Incendiary Devices , SCUBA Diving, Forest and Wildland Fire Suppression, Hazardous Materials Response, FEMA Emergency Management, Mass Casualty Medical Response and Triage, and Urban Search and Rescue Operations. Officer Roseboro is also an Office of the State Fire Marshall Level 2 Certified State Fire Instructor.

Officer Roseboro is currently a member of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. He is a NC Department of Justice Certified Law Enforcement Instructor. Officer Roseboro is a Central Piedmont Community College Certified Advanced Criminal Investigator and has received extensive training and certification in the areas of Financial Crimes/Terrorism Funding and Insurance Fraud Criminal Investigations through the NC Department of Justice, the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators and the NC Insurance Crime Information Exchange. Roseboro is a licensed in insurance in the areas of Life & Health and Property & Casualty sales and advocacy thru the NC Department of Insurance.

Officer Roseboro loves working with today’s youth. He is the founder of the Christopher L. Roseboro Life Safety Organization with the commitment to teach principles of life safety from the standpoint of Public Safety responders to community and church groups throughout North Carolina. He has been a guest speaker to over 40 church and community groups and with youth in after school community groups including being the Keynote Speaker to city employees and the Fire & Police Chiefs on behalf of the Mayor and City Council of Wichita Kansas during their employee motivational movement. Roseboro was a member of the National Champion Charlotte Cobras Police & Fire Football Team and the former NC Police and Fire 198lb Benchpress Powerlifting Champion and the Former AAU National Police and Fire Benchpress Champion. Officer Roseboro is also an accomplished Martial Artist with a 3^rd Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and Gee Do Kwon.
