IB Primary Years Program (IB PYP)

The IB Primary Years Program (IB PYP) serves students in grades pre-Kindergarten through 5.

Unique features of the PYP:

• Transdisciplinary learning, in which learning is inquiry-based and combines traditional subjects such as reading, math, social studies, and science under an overarching central idea.
• Approaches to Learning, which focus on "soft skills" such as self-management, social, thinking, research, and communication.
• Learner Profile attributes for students and staff (balanced, reflective, risk-takers, inquirers, caring, communicators, knowledgeable, thinkers, open-minded, principled)
• Study of world language beginning in kindergarten
