Dual Enrollment & NCVPS
what is dual enrollment? (Career & College Promise/ccp)
College and Career Promise (CCP) is a dual enrollment partnership between CMS and Central Piedmont Community College that allows junior and senior high school students to take college classes for both high school and college credit. For more information, including course options and enrollment information, please visit: https://www.akvc3.com/ccp
what is ncvps?
North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS) is a state funded course provider. It allows students to take new credit courses online from certified teachers in a variety of subject areas. Students at AK can utilize NCVPS for classes that we do not teach in the building. For more information, including course lists and enrollment information, please visit: https://www.akvc3.com/ncvps
how do i fill out my card if i want cpcc or ncvps classes?
Students who are interested in NCVPS and/or CCP enrollment should still complete their registration card with 8 top choices and 6 alternates from the AK card. Because the timeline for enrollment in these programs is different than CMS course registration, any necessary schedule changes or drops will be handled individually at a later date. You will discuss your intentions for NCVPS and/or CCP enrollment with your counselor during your registration appointment.
