Advanced Placement (AP) courses allow students the opportunity to take college-level coursework in high school and potentially earn college credit by taking an Advanced Placement exam at the conclusion of the course. These courses are rigorous and fast-paced. Before enrolling in an AP course, students and parents should make sure they understand the quantity and quality of work that is required.
For general information about AP coursework, review the information put out by CollegeBoard.
Take some time to read and watch the full course descriptions and teacher-made videos for each AP class that you might be interested in taking next year starting on SLIDE 9 below. These videos and course descriptions were created by the Ardrey Kell teachers who teach these courses to give you a real sense of what the class will cover and what is required for success.
