Students

These responsibilities ensure virtual learning is as productive as learning during an on-campus school day, even though the format is different.

Students* are expected to:

*Parents of elementary school students should help them meet these responsibilities at a developmentally appropriate level.

• Review your online learning platform with your parents weekly.

• Meet and work according to the relevant Division schedule to engage in the learning experiences.

• Identify a comfortable, quiet space in your home where you can work effectively and successfully.

• Regularly monitor the relevant online platforms to check for announcements, assignments and feedback from your teachers.

• Complete all assignments with integrity and academic honesty, doing your best work.

• Meet timelines, commitments, and due dates based on the expectation that you are are “present” every day for class.

• MS/HS Only: Check in through the Google Classroom Question provided by your teachers for every block for each one of your classes (except Study Hall/Bohio in HS and Advisory in MS)

• Communicate proactively with your teachers if you cannot meet deadlines or require additional support for your class.

• Comply with CMS’s Technology User Agreement, including expectations for online etiquette.

• Proactively seek out and communicate with other adults at CMS as needed.
