Call for Papers: Journal of Environmental Law.

The Centre for Environment Law is coming up with its first online journal. As it is the endeavor of the Centre for Environment to become the beacon in the field of Environment by encouraging synthesis of knowledge and best practices cutting across students, academia, industry, practitioners, and research fraternity. The Journal welcomes submissions from academicians, practitioners, research scholars, and students from law and allied fields.

The Centre for Environment is inviting articles or research papers, case comment, and book reviews on the contemporary topics and themes of Environment law and the issues related to environmental law for publication in the E-Journal of Environmental Law.

This is done with an aim to bring academicians, professionals, legal experts, judges, and students on panels for discussions as a subject of Environmental Law is multidisciplinary in nature; to encourage debates amongst participants of the Centre and produce academic research for Environmental Studies: Law and Policy. Hence inviting/ calling for original, unpublished work from law students, research scholars, academicians, and other professionals working in any sectors related to law all over the country.

Theme:

The submission may be on any contemporary issue related to Environmental Law including sustainable development. As Environmental Law is a new and emerging interdisciplinary field that is concerned with, inter-alia:

· the study of the environment and its issues;

· the study of the effects of anthropogenic activities on the environment and the scope of sustainable development.

· the study of the laws and regulations to deal with the degradation of the environment.

The work may be submitted under the following categories. The authors are expected to strictly adhere to the prescribed word limits.

Long Articles:

Comprehensive articles reflecting the well-reasoned opinion of the author/s on legal issues of contemporary relevance - 5000 – 8000 words

Short Articles:

Short articles on specific issues concerning law and allied areas - 3000- 5000 words

Case notes/Comments:

Comments on recent landmark judgments - 1500 – 3000 words

Book Reviews:

A comprehensive review of recent books on law and allied areas - 1500 - 3000 words
