1. We, The Coalition of Concerned Black Christian Men (CCBCM), take great pleasure and pride in annually supporting graduating seniors from PGCPS high schools with the award of scholarship funding.

The CCBCM of Prince George's County Maryland is based in Fort Washington, MD, and is a local 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that started back in 1987. The organization was co-founded in 1987 by the late Eugene Green and the late Isaac "Ike" Gourdine of Prince George's County. The mission of the organization is to operate on a non-profit basis with an all-volunteer membership that provides resources in support of educational opportunities, social assistance, and community involvement to help enhance the quality of life for the people in our communities. We are dedicated to being a proactive faith-based organization that will be visible in the community by producing results for our faith-based activities. The CCBCM has awarded $420,000 in scholarships to (482) deserving young men and women pursuing their collegiate dreams and aspirations. Our website can be viewed at https://www.ccbcm.org/index.html.

In past years, we have truly enjoyed visiting each of your schools and forging relationships with staff members. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, we are not able to engage as we traditionally have done so. Therefore, though we realize that your workload is quite heavy as schools prepare for hybrid restarts, we ask that you distribute our scholarship application to seniors. Your help with this endeavor would be greatly appreciated as we wish to continue to financially support high school graduates of the community with collegiate and professional pursuits.

Thank you!
