Q: If I choose CMCSS K-12 Virtual how would it work with my child’s needs? They have a 504 and an IEP? Do you have a program set up for home or would they have to be in the schools to get the help needed?
Q: How will my child get the help and support online as she does inside the classroom?
Q: We have a child who has an IEP and receives related services and special accommodations. Is there a way to determine if they will receive similar services in the virtual setting?
Q: My son is enrolled in elementary school. He has an IEP and in the general education setting. I am wondering what his services and supports will look like if we choose CMCSS K-12 Virtual.
Q: How will my child attend his weekly speech class if enrolled in CMCSS K-12 Virtual?
Q: My child has a 1:1 written on his IEP. How will that work if we decide to participate in CMCSS K-12 Virtual?
A: If a student with an IEP or 504 plan is enrolled in CMCSS K-12 Virtual, it is the responsibility of CMCSS to ensure the school system meets all requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education (IEP) Act and Section 504. CMCSS K-12 Virtual will follow the services determined by the IEP team and documented on the IEP or 504 plan as appropriate.
