School Counseling Advisory Council:
We are looking for stakeholders to collaborate with the school counselors to help guide our counseling program. If you are interested in participating, please email Melissa Preston at melissa.preston@cmcss.net
The responsibilities include:
Meeting twice this school year (Fall/Spring)
Review our school counseling goal plan and results
Provide your perspective and honest feedback
Collaborate with the school counselors
Treats will be provided
Purple Up Day!
Wear purple to show support for military students on April 15th, 2026!
7th Grade Career Exploration Day:
The students are going to the Wilma Rudolph Event Center to attend the career day offered through CMCSS. To attend, the permission slip must be signed and turned into Ms. Preston.
This event will take place on: November 5th, 2025
Permission slips are due: 10/31/2025
Middle School Extravaganza
Upcoming 5th graders and families come to New Providence for a fun scavenger hunt that acts as a tour guide around the building. There will be sign-ups for all sports, clubs, band, and choir. There will be food provided, too!
The counselors will present to parents how to help their child transition to middle school. The administration will present the basics of middle school to students and parents. We look forward to meeting you!
