Sora is our digital reading platform that is available 24/7--even when school is out. It is a paid subscription in all middle and high schools and select elementary schools.
Middle and High Schools have both shared and advantage (school level) collections.
Elementary schools have advantage (school level) collections only.
For questions regarding Sora accounts and collections, librarians should contact their Sora leads.
Elementary- No point of contact since there is not a shared collection.
Middle- Tracy Pierce and Chad Wilkerson
High- Laura Martin and Stephanie Powell
Accessing Sora
Starting on the Classlink page
Students click on the Sora App icon (it’s the one with the cute little blue, Sora bird)
First time use- choose your school. School choice will always be “Clarksville-Montgomery County School District.”
Accessing Sora through Classlink should automatically login students, but if prompted for a username or password, it will be the same login credentials for everything CMCSS.
Students can access additional materials using the public library’s Sora titles through Tennessee READS. Students do not need a library card. In a partnership with the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, all students need is to be logged into Sora using their CMCSS login credentials.
Click on the three horizontal lines in the upper right hand corner
Students can see their profile and view the current district collection. To unlock the Tennessee READS collection, students should click “add a library.”
Type “TennesseeREADS” into the search bar and then select, “this is my library.”
The greatest part is that students only have to complete these steps once and both of the libraries will be saved. Then, students will be able to toggle between the two collections to browse. All checkouts can be found on the students' individual shelves regardless of which collection. This also works seamlessly across all devices just like all of the other features in Sora.
