Key Points

• You will be given your testing pack if your parent has signed the consent form

• You do not need to take the tests if you are not on site e.g. school holidays

• Test on the day you receive your pack and then every Monday morning and Thursday after the first test

• Please read the documents below

• You need to report your result to the NHS via www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result or report by telephone 119 (page 15) (The school postcode is LL13 7UB)

• You only need to report it to the school using the form below and text 07458 303266 if you test positive

• Dispose of the test as per the instructions

• If you test positive, book a PCR test at the test centre and text the result to the school on 07458 303266 (Try to get the test within 24 hours of taking the LFT)

• Those who have previously tested positive for COVID-19 should not test with either PCR or rapid lateral flow testing for 90 days unless they become symptomatic. After 90 days, staff should continue testing with PCR or rapid lateral flow tests.

• These tests are only for your use, not family or friends

• If you are symptomatic follow existing guidance (do not use the LFT)

You may still be required to self-isolate if identified as a close contact of a positive case at school even if you have had a negative Lateral

Flow Device test outcome.  If a test outcome is positive, the individual could have infected their close contacts in the days leading up to the test whilst at school, with no symptoms at all.  These close contacts may develop coronavirus up to 10 days afterwards. 

Lateral Flow Device tests help reduce further transmission of the virus, and identify cases of coronavirus that would otherwise have not been found and helps to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the community and the school.
