Regarding the Clovis Unified School District Fire Technology Program and the continued growth of our Advisory Committee. As our program expands, we are committed to strengthening our collaboration with industry and community leaders to ensure our students receive relevant, industry-aligned training and career preparation.
Our Advisory Committee continues to grow and currently includes representatives from Clovis City Fire Department, the California Army National Guard, and private-sector partners (Wildland Firefighters) such as Wildfire Defense Systems. Their involvement provides valuable insight, mentorship, and real-world alignment with workforce expectations.
As we move forward, we are seeking to further expand our committee to include additional regional fire service partners. Specifically, we are looking to secure participation from CAL FIRE – Fresno-Kings Unit, as well as the Fresno City Fire Department. Both agencies play a critical role in the fire service community surrounding the City of Clovis, and their involvement would greatly enhance our program’s industry representation and student opportunities.
Our goal is to build a strong, collaborative advisory body that reflects the agencies our students aspire to join and that ensures our curriculum remains aligned with current state and national standards.
