National FFA Week was celebrated February 21st-24th! This year Clovis FFA celebrated our amazing organization by hosting a week full of fun and agricultural awareness through several different events. Students participated with lunchtime activities and games, social media, & dress up days. Our Spin the Wheel, chapter lunch meeting, and mini Farmer's Market on Main Campus was a huge success, with both members and non-members alike participating. Our Agriculture Leadership and Advanced Floral Design classes also put together and delivered gifts like seed packets, floral arrangements, and engraved tumblers to the rest of our Clovis East staff to let them know they're appreciated, while spreading FFA awareness.
We have had eight FFA meetings this school year. From Hawaiian dress-up days to mini-golfing at Blackbeard's, spooky adventures at Hobbs Grove, and community service activities Clovis FFA meetings have been exciting. Members have LEVELED UP in attendance as 255 members attended our first meeting this year!
Clovis FFA Booster Club meets once a month to discuss events in our chapter, like regular chapter meetings, activities held for both members and parents, and fundraising for our chapter.
FFA Members sold farm crops and fruits at Old town Clovis Farmers Markets and at Pop Up Markets at the Ag Center over the summer. Featured Products were stone fruits, grapes, honey, and succulents.
Clovis FFA dropped off all 75 dog toys that were made at the January Community Service FFA meeting! Miss Winkles Pets here in Clovis was very appreciative of the donation! Great job Clovis FFA!
The Tri Tip dinner is a Clovis FFA tradition. This year we sold 100 dinners to families in the community.
Another tradition Clovis FFA celebrates during the holidays is our Canned Food Drive. We collect cans and donate them to the Poverello House. Students are able to bring in canned foods to their classes for the duration of two, then help box and transport them after collection. This year we were able to collect right under 1,00 cans!
The Annual Booster BBQ , a beloved tradition of Clovis FFA members and parents alike, will contintue on this year at the Clovis Rodeo grounds! Always held on the Saturday after National FFA week, the Booster BBQ is a great opportunity for our Boosters and other parents to connect. Look for more information on this year's event!
On January 31st, Clovis FFA donated all donations from the Food & Clothing Drive leading up to the January FFA Meeting to the Poverello House. Thank you to all members who donated and participated in giving back to our community! Amazing job LEVELING UP Clovis FFA!
