Year 1 Artworks
Year 1 Artworks
Autumn River (left)- first acrylic painting of ib art. I was able to learn how to properly use paint as I continued to create the piece. Contrary to the norm of working from back to front, I worked right to left because I did not know the rules of acrylics. This created a unique style that becomes more refined toward the left side of the piece.
Lost in Space (middle)- First piece utilizing the rules of acrylics. I allowed my mind to wander to create a scene rather than following something explicit.
Through the woods (right)- Acrylic piece inspired by Charles Perrault's "Little Red Riding Hood". First time incorporating an intended theme into my piece.
Pandemic and Year 2 Artworks
Overcast (left)- First piece of the pandemic. I was still able to find inspiration through small things such as video games to capture this chaos and time of uncertainty.
Time (middle)- First piece of year 2 after taking a long hiatus over the summer. I am reflecting on time management issues that have sprouted during Covid and how even though there is struggle, time is always moving forward and you have to keep up with it.
Light (right)- A self-reflective piece about inspiration in my art. During the pandemic the art experience has become less magical since we cannot access the classroom every single day like year 1. This piece shows a hand reaching for some inspiration and satisfaction from creating a piece.
