The ROMS Library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every school day The library is closed on weekends and during school breaks, as well as other times posted for students to see.
ELA classes visit with their teacher every two weeks. Students are more than welcome to come visit at other times of the day as well. We just ask that they have permission from their teacher and have an eHall Pass created.
Each student can check out two books. The books are due back in two weeks after the date of checkout.
There are book return boxes on all three middle school campus buildings - Main Campus, West Campus, and CTE. The boxes are checked frequently by librarians or the library aides. Students do not have to wait for their teachers to bring them to the libary to return books.
There are no fines for late books. The book will eventually be marked as lost, at that point we ask that you return the book or pay for it. The prices of books vary per item, but it will be the replacement cost for the book (or a similar item).
We welcome donations as long as they are in good quality and meet the collection development procedures for middle school. As a rule of thumb, we typically purchase books that are labeled as "Middle Grade" and have characters between the ages of 8-13.
