Welcome to the Red Oak Middle School Library!
Red Oak Middle School was built in 1977, originally as a high school. Since then, the building has gone through significant remodeling. The current library in Red Oak Middle School was originally used as the school cafeteria. It was remodeled to its current state in 1996 and includes a large, carpeted open floor plan with two offices and several storage rooms at one end (this area used to be the serving lines and kitchen of the cafeteria). It is the only middle school in the district (Red Oak ISD Communications, 2021).
The library is a single large room without any divisions, approximately 3,200 square feet. It is centrally located in the school, off the main hallway leading to the classrooms and nestled next to the school's counseling offices and a set of student restrooms.
