Meet the Teacher

Hi 1C, 

My name is Lisa Carmody. This is my 21st year teaching! Wow...that's a long time. 17 of those years were spent at Glen Stewart Primary in Stratford where I taught music, Reading Recovery, grade one, and grade two. Before that, I taught in  the private school system in Toronto. I did my undergrad at UPEI majoring in vocal performance. After that, I did a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in New Zealand. A few years ago, I completed a master's degree in Literacy Education through Mount Saint Vincent. Music and literacy are my passions along with the beautiful creatures in the pictures below! I live in Sherwood with my husband, Shawn, and our two boys, Gabe and Kieran. Gabe is in grade seven, and Kieran is in grade six. Rusty is our beautiful little doggy. She's in university! (Just joking! ;)
