The Cost

Cost of Being Healthy

Staying healthy is important but often expensive. Everyone has the right to be healthy. It’s our responsibility to make it happen, but lots of us struggle. You just have to try as hard as possible.

We all know that minor sports can cost hundreds of dollars these days. The cost of minor sports can range from fifty dollars to five hundred dollars. Most of us can afford to be in at least one sports organisation, but what about those who can’t? There are still ways that even the most unfortunate people can get involved. Playing outside is beneficial for your physical exercise and is free of charge. If you want to be involved in a sport there are still ways to play sports that would normally be very expensive. Almost everyone goes to school every day and school means recess. Playing sports at recess can even be better than going in a real sports team. This way you can play with friends and even family if you have older or younger siblings. Most schools have a physical education program and forty minute periods. If you have physical education for forty minutes in a day you only need exercise for twenty more minutes that day.

Eating healthy is often harder than physical activity. This is mostly because of the price differences and the fact that most people prefer unhealthy foods over healthy foods. The Harvard School of Public Health declares that a healthy diet for one person costs approximately $1.50 more per day and $550 more per year than an unhealthy diet.
