Log-in Information for Raz-kids, Splashlearn and Get EPIC

Raz-Kids:

If you have a computer, tablet, etc. at home and can access the internet, your child can use Raz-kids. Raz-Kids is an online library of books. The books are leveled and many are higher interest. It is important that students have access to “just right books” for practice and to hold their interest. Raz-kids books can be listened to before reading and there is a comprehension component too. Many of my students in previous years really enjoyed the books and having so much choice for their reading. 

To log in: Go to the site Raz-kids.com.

Click Kids Login (Big green button just under the blue banner on the right side of the page.) 

Type Glenstewartprimary as your teacher’s username. 

Find and click on our class account (2C Kilfoil Duffy).

Enter abc123 as the password. 

**If you click on Leveled Books at the top, you can select a specific level.  

They are ready to read! 

**Just a friendly reminder for students to only use only our own account as using another class account will affect their records. Thank you!

SplashLearn:

We have been exploring SplashLearn a bit at school and the students really

enjoy it!  After you reach the SplashLearn site, click on sign in and

then classroom. Our class code is ZDJXPE.  Your child’s password is  read15 .

Students know they should only ever access their own pages. 

We have just begun to explore this site.

Get EPIC 

Please note: This site is only available during “school hours” (7am -3pm on weekdays).  I am sharing it as some families may like to use it on days when their child is not in school - PD Days, travel days, sick days (if they are feeling well enough), etc. There is no obligation to use this site.

Getepic.com is a site that provides a huge variety of books (many by favourite authors) for children to read. It is a great spot for your child to choose a good book for their independent reading.

Students can choose books by topic, genre, or search for books, authors or topics they are interested in. There is also a "leveled books icon", to browse by level.
