What is PBIS?

This video explains what PBIS is and how it should be used appropriately. In this section you will learn of your expectations for PBIS and what the student incentives currently are. Below you will also find our PBIS Matrix and our flow chart for guidance.

PBIS Teacher Expectations:

Complete Shout Out Forms Weekly
- A shout out form (red) will be in your mailbox each week for you to fill out for a student that displays the three R's (Respectful, Responsible, and Ready) that week.
Select a student of the month and write a brief explanation of why they were chosen. Becky Morgan will email with due date.
- August- Student from 1st block
- September - Student from 2nd block
- October - Student from 3rd block
- November - Student from 4th block
- January - Student from 1st block
- February - Student from 2nd block
- March - Student from 3rd block
- April - Student from 4th block

Enter any behavior issues addressed in teachers handbook.
Use educator handbook for documentation only if you need to note information about behaviors that are potential issues but not referrals.

Educators Handbook

Educators handbook is a platform used to record all behavior referrals and discipline actions as well as documenting information about students. It is used by the PBIS team to collect data that is used to better our school and to help find students in need of assistance. It can be found on the teacher resource page or you can find it at https://www.educatorshandbook.com/.

Set up Class Roster

You will need to set up your class rosters in Educators Handbook so you can see if your students get referrals in other classes. This will help you see patterns in behaviors and help you approach students during class if you know they have already had referrals earlier. It also will allow you to conversate with the student to help them with whatever issues they may be having.
