Meet the Instructors

CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT LISA F. PHILLIPS

Chief Phillips enlisted in the North Carolina Air National Guard in December 1996. She attended basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas in January 1997 and graduated from the Airlift Aircraft Maintenance Specialist course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas in August 1997. In September 1997, she became the first female assigned to the 145th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron as a crew chief on the C-130H3 Hercules aircraft. In May 2010, she was selected to the position of Maintenance Operations Center Controller for 145th Maintenance Operations Flight. In this position, she volunteered from November 2011 through April 2012 to perform MOC duties for Operation ENDURING FREEDOM at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan. In October 2018, she was promoted to Chief Master Sergeant, taking on the role as the Superintendent of the Maintenance Operations Flight. Chief Phillips’ special duty assignments were dedicated to Fixed Wing Maintenance 2016 and Upward Minuteman 2019 in Gaborone, Botswana. Chief Phillips participated in Operations JOINT FORGE, JOINT GUARD, ENDURING FREEDOM and CORONET OAK.
