Q: What is the age range of participants in this program? Can minors participate? 🌸/🌻
Generally, participants range from 14 to 30 years old, with the majority being between 16 and 20. Minors can also participate.
Q: Please tell me about the nationalities of participants. 🌸/🌻
The March course is primarily composed of Japanese students, with almost all participants being Japanese.
If you want to interact with students from various countries, the July course is recommended. It typically consists of 50% Americans, 20% Western Europeans, 20% Japanese, and 10% from other countries.
The August course, like March, has a majority of Japanese participants, with about 80% Japanese and 20% from other countries (e.g., the U.S., Europe).
Q: Can someone else register on behalf of a participant? 🌸/🌻
Yes, assistance is possible with the following two points to note:
Please ensure that all basic information entered is the student's information (such as passport number, DOB, etc.).
After completing the information, a password reset email will be sent to the student's email address. Please ensure the student can click the link within the email and reset their password within 10 minutes after the email is sent
Q: Can one registered account be used for enrolling two or more students in courses? 🌸/🌻
No, each registered account can only be used by one student for course enrollment. Each participant must have their own membership account.
Q: What do I need to prepare when applying? 🌸/🌻
A digital copy of your passport.
Q: Can I register for a membership if I haven't received my new passport yet? 🌸/🌻
Yes, you can. Please enter your old passport number and photo for now, and send us the updated information once you receive your new passport.
Q: How do I select the 6-week course for registration? 🌸/🌻
During registration, first select "Learning Month" and choose July, then select "6 weeks" in the "Duration of Study" field.
Fees & Payment
Q: What is included in the tuition? Are there additional fees beyond tuition? 🌸/🌻
Tuition includes accommodation, class fees, textbook costs, materials for cultural classes, transportation and ticket fees for Taipei tours, and insurance during the program. However, meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are not included and must be arranged separately.
Beyond tuition, the following fees may apply depending on individual needs:
Dormitory deposit: NTD 2,000 (required for all students; fully refunded at the end of the course if no dorm items are damaged).
Airport pick-up/drop-off fee: NTD 2,000 (optional, confirmed via pre-survey if school transportation is needed).
Air conditioning electricity cost: Shared with roommates.
Self-funded trips: Charged based on the activity.
※ All the above fees are paid in cash in Taiwanese dollars on-site; no prior bank transfer is required!

Q: Is the NTD 6,000 deposit required to be paid in advance? 🌸/🌻
Yes, the NTD 6,000 deposit must be paid in advance. Once payment is completed, your spot in the course and dormitory bed will be reserved.
Q: I paid the deposit during application, but when do I pay the remaining tuition? 🌸/🌻
A payment notification will be sent via email one month before the course starts. Please complete the payment within one week via online credit card or bank transfer.
Q: Can I pay the full tuition, including the deposit, in one lump sum? 🌸/🌻
Yes, you can pay the full amount in one lump sum.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Q: Please tell me about cancellation refunds and course suspension. 🌸/🌻
Refund requests will be processed according to Article 17 of the Taiwan Ministry of Education’s Regulations on Continuing Education Programs at Specialized Institutions and Above:
Before the course starts:
If only the deposit has been paid, no refund will be issued.
If the full amount has been paid, 90% of the balance will be refunded after deducting administrative fees.
During the course:
If less than 1/3 of the course has been completed, 50% of the balance will be refunded after deducting incurred expenses.
If more than 1/3 of the course has been completed, no refund will be issued.
Course suspension:
In cases of natural disasters like typhoons or earthquakes, based on announcements from the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration of Taiwan, neither make-up classes nor refunds can be provided.
Q: If I cancel, will the deposit be refunded? 🌸/🌻
No, the deposit is non-refundable.
However, you can request to defer the deposit for one year. This means if you reapply for an ICEP course within one year, you won’t need to pay the deposit again.
