I am a dedicated law and public safety educator with over three years of experience teaching Law and Justice courses at the high school level. Prior to teaching, I served in law enforcement and corrections, working as a police officer, probation officer, and juvenile corrections officer, which provides me with extensive real-world experience in the criminal justice system. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Teaching, combining practical field knowledge with advanced educational training. My goal is to prepare students for success in college, careers, and public safety professions by providing hands-on learning, critical thinking opportunities, and real-world insights from my professional experience. I participate in professional development opportunities that support the needs of the program and maintain a personal and professional plan to continue growing as an educator and staying current in industry knowledge. I attend relevant conferences and training, and the system adequately supports my participation in these professional learning opportunities.
