Claymont Aultman-Orrville School-Based Health Clinic
Students at the high school can be excused during the day to visit the clinic if a parent has called and made them an appointment.
Fridays in October we are encouraging everyone to give High 5s to promote a positive school climate! There are smiles all around!
News from the Music Department🎶
The Claymont Marching Mustangs participated in their first competition of the season on September 13th at the Cambridge Cavalcade of Bands. The Band earned 1st place in their class and best percussion! Congratulations on a great start to a great season!
The newly formed "SuperNova" Quartet absolutely brought the house down at a performance in Cambridge last month. These students represented the Claymont community with excellence in performance and professionalism with a passionate and energetic performance. They were featured guests on the Y-City Barbershop Chorus's Annual show "Harmony on the High C's", and even got to share the stage and sing with the chorus alongside Mr. Chambers. Congratulations on a wonderful performance! Bravo and brava!
Michael Vannest; Deputy Communications Director and Shawn Stevens; Policy Advisor for Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose visited Mr. Buxton's American Government classes as part of the Grads Vote initiative on September 25th.
Each class learned how to register to vote, they discussed with the students the importance of voting and why every election matters. Mr. Vannest also instructed the students on the importance of and how as a student they could become and serve as a poll worker on election day.
A representative from Jostens will be at the high school on Thursday Oct. 16th for a meeting with the seniors about ordering graduation gear. They will return on Oct. 23rd to take orders.
If your senior has not had their meningococcal vaccine, they need to see the school nurse, Mrs. Bowe! This vaccine can be administered at the newly opened Claymont Aultman-Orrville Clinic located at the high school.
Please complete this Conference Request Form if you would like to have a conference with a teacher or counselor on Thursday, November 6th.
The Juniors vs Seniors Powder Puff Game is Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00pm at the stadium. This the cost is $5 for students and $7 fo adults. There will also be a 50/50 drawing. This is a fundraiser for prom, so come out and watch the game while helping the junior class raise money!
It is almost time for the fall drama production of "First in Line and Other Traumatic Life Experiences". Join us at the high school on November 13th, 14th and 15th at 7:00pm. This play is sure to take you back as you remember your first day of high school, your first pimple or your first blind date. Relive them all with this collection of scenes ranging from the sadness of encountering prejudice to the wonderful feeling of being first in line! We can't wait to share this with you!
Community Service Day- October 31st 🍂
Students from the high school will be out in Dennison and Uhrichsville on Friday, October 31st raking leaves from 8- 11. If you know someone who could use their leaves raked, please fill out this Community Service Google Form.
