For the first time in 33 years, the Claymont Mustangs made the playoffs! The outcome was not what we hoped for, but we are still proud of all the hard work and dedication put in this season! Looking ahead to next year!
Coach Rogers, Kali and Coach Albaugh
Kali Wallace, a junior, placed 8th at the state cross country meet. This is her third trip to the state meet and her 3rd time being an All- Ohioan. This makes her the first 3-time All-Ohioan in girls cross country! Congratulations Kali!
1st 9 Weeks Academic Honors
Congratulations to all of these students on their academic accomplishments!
On December 4th in the high school LRC there will be a FAFSA workshop. If your child is attending college or technical school, the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) should be completed. The purpose of the FAFSA is to determine a student's eligibility for a wide array of financial assistance for college or career school, including federal grants, work-study programs, and loans. It serves as the single most important application for securing funds to pay for higher education.
Why Completing the FAFSA Is Important
Access to "Free Money": The FAFSA is the gateway to grants and many scholarships which do not have to be repaid. By not completing the form, students leave billions of dollars in potential aid (like the Federal Pell Grant) unclaimed each year.
Eligibility for State and Institutional Aid: Many states, colleges, and private scholarship programs use the FAFSA information to determine eligibility for their own financial aid, including both need-based and some merit-based aid. Without a completed FAFSA, students may be disqualified from receiving these additional funds.
Access to Better Loans: Completing the FAFSA is required to access federal student loans, which typically offer lower interest rates, more flexible repayment options, and potential loan forgiveness programs compared to private loans.
It is almost time for the fall drama production of "First in Line and Other Traumatic Life Experiences". Join us at the high school on November 13th, 14th and 15th at 7:00pm. This play is sure to take you back as you remember your first day of high school, your first pimple or your first blind date. Relive them all with this collection of scenes ranging from the sadness of encountering prejudice to the wonderful feeling of being first in line! We can't wait to share this with you!
Community Service Day- October 31st 🍂

Great job Mustangs!
Career Technical News
The Marketing and Info Tech classes traveled to Cleveland recently to participate in a day with the Cavaliers. While there, they met with professionals in the areas of broadcasting, marketing, sales, and social media to discuss their roles with the organization and potential careers in the sports industry. They also completed a group marketing activity, were given a tour of the arena, and spent time at Tower City Mall, before taking in the game vs. the Philadelphia 76ers. Everyone had a great time!
