Meet the newest members of our TCA Bear Valley team:
Hi, my name is Violet Bombolo and I am ecstatic to start my first year at Classical Academy teaching art! I have always been an artist, painting almost daily since I was 13 years old. I never even dreamed that being an art teacher could be my reality, but for the last four years it has been and I couldn't imaging doing anything else with my life. I find no greater joy than giving my students opportunities to create art that they wouldn't otherwise have.
My favorite part of teaching art is when my students share with me the art they are doing outside of the classroom, especially when it's inspired by the things we do in the classroom! Besides art, I love the beach, gardening, camping and spending time with my two sons, our dogs and my fiancé. I can't wait to get to know all of my students and my hope is that they love art as much as I do and they do it for their whole life!
My name is Jennifer Guttiere and I'm thrilled to be joining The Classical Academy as the new Director of the Junior Musical Theater Program.
I am no stranger to the stage! I began acting professionally at the age of 8 years old and I went on to perform all over the country. I have toured off Broadway and have appeared on several television shows. I even won the title of Miss Plus America in 2021.
I studied theater and directing and Columbia & The Actor's Studio. I am the Artistic Manager and Children's Director at Patio Playhouse and I am so excited to work with the amazing children at Classical!
Hello everyone! My name is Laura Sebastian and I look forward to joining the Classical Academy Bear Valley as your new Math Specialist. My four young children attended Coastal Academy, Coastal High School, Classical Academy High School, and several other schools overseas and out of state. I personally attest to the value that the Classical Academies and homeschooling has brought our family.
I received my bachelor's from UCSB (go Gauchos) and a multiple subject credential from CalState TEACH. I also have a supplemental math credential and hope my love for math will be contagious! Learning and observing the way children learn math has given me a deep passion for ensuring mathematical literacy for all. I believe that building a solid math foundation sets students up for future success - no matter where life leads them.

If you can speak, you can sing. If you can move your body, you can dance. Singing and dancing are inherent in us all. How you get good at it is through training and practice. During the next couple of months, we will be doing what we don’t generally get a lot of time during a production to do. You will be split into groups. Your group will meet 4 hours every week. You will work with this same group collaborating on musical theater numbers as well as scene work to put on a Showcase at the Ritz theater.
You will get professional voice coaching and techniques on how to strengthen your voice and sing your very best. You will learn tips and tricks on how to do your best audition and callback. You will be able to understand what it takes to choreograph a routine. You will learn what it takes “behind the scenes” to put a production together and have the opportunity with your group to design your props and costumes for the Showcase.
If you ever wanted to grow your skills in musical theater, this class is for you! I am so excited about this opportunity and I hope you will join us!
