Entering its 19th year of existence, Resonance is the varsity competitive show choir at Lincoln Southwest, comprised of students in grades 10-12. Resonance rehearses during the 3B class period every day (every other day for students who are enrolled in Wind Ensemble/Chamber Choir), and Tuesday afternoons from 5-7pm starting in August. Members of Resonance are selected by audition. Advanced singing techniques, presentation skills, and choreography will be studied through a variety of popular, show, and jazz style music. Students are required to purchase a show costume and be enrolled in choir. In addition to scheduled school concerts, this group will perform at various festivals, competitions, and community functions. Attendance at all scheduled performances is expected and required.
