Entering its 2nd year of existence, Emergence is the non-audition Festival show choir at Lincoln Southwest, comprised of students from grades 9-12. Emergence rehearses Monday evenings 4:30-6:30PM, and Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:00PM starting in August. Members of Emergence are selected through sign up, and vocal placements. Beginning singing techniques, presentation skills, and choreography will be studied through a variety of popular, show, and jazz style music. Students are required to purchase a show costume and be enrolled in choir. In addition to scheduled school concerts, this group will perform at various festivals, competitions, and community functions. Attendance at all scheduled performances is expected and required.
