The Wind Ensemble is an advanced performing ensemble class for a very select group of brass and woodwind players. The repertoire studied and performed consists of wind ensemble literature that emphasizes individual performance. Musical and performance expectations are extremely high. It is also the course’s goal to create an atmosphere of thoughtful reflection and critical thinking and to foster a community in which students respect the music, the ensemble, and each other. Performances outside of the school day are usually part of class expectations.
