Vocal Music 6:  Music in the Academic Connections block provides students with an opportunity to explore the elements of music (e.g. melody, harmony, rhythm), and the history and cultural significance of music through performance and listening. 

MSV 6.1 By the end of sixth grade, students will be able to match pitch in a comfortable register.

MSV 6.2  By the end of sixth grade, given a tonal center, students will be able to accurately perform a stepwise melody utilizing notes from Do to So.

MSV 6.3 By the end of sixth grade, students will be able to perform a variety of simple rhythms with a steady beat.
