Choir 8: The vocal music curriculum teaches students to sing with expression and technical accuracy. Particular attention is given to ear training, rhythm, diction, and breath control. The repertoire includes pieces from various music genres, historical periods, and music associated with a variety of cultures and ethnicities. The vocal classes perform in concerts during the school year.
MSV 8.1 By the end of 8th grade, students will be able to match and describe the skills needed to produce the correct pitch.
MSV 8.2 By the end of 8th grade, students will be able to demonstrate proper choral technique.
MSV 8.3 By the end of 8th grade, students will be able to demonstrate the process of learning a piece of choral music.
