Mr. Hegert graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013. He has taught orchestra in Rapid City, SD and in Lincoln for the past 10 years. 2025-26 will be his sixth year at Irving Middle School.
Mr. Hegert’s main instrument is viola. He plays in the Hastings Symphony Orchestra. Though his main area of focus in music is playing string instruments, he has also participated in choirs, musicals, and other areas of music throughout his life. He teaches a drumming class at Irving as well!
