CUHEAT equips participants with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to assess residential energy efficiency and recommend cost-effective improvements. This training program equips students with knowledge and skills in home weatherization and energy auditing, and provides a solid foundation for those entering the field.

Rich Road Solar Energy Center is a 240 MW solar project that will provide enough emissions free energy to power 75,000 homes. Located in the Town of Canton, the project will also create many benefits for the local community: from stable sources of revenue to town, county, school district and local landowners, to workforce development opportunities, potential for co-location of solar and agriculture, and improved storm water retention and carbon sequestration possibilities. EDF Renewables and Rich Road Solar Energy Center will be at the Green Living Fair to discuss community group activities and project integration into the local community.

Indian Creek Nature Center features ~320 acres of woods and wetland within the Upper and Lower Lakes Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in the Town of Canton, NY. The Center borders flooded lands between the Oswegatchie and Grasse Rivers designed to enhance waterfowl habitat. The nearly eight miles of trails at Indian Creek include a boardwalk trail through a marsh to an overlook with expansive views of Upper and Lower Lakes WMA. All trails are free and open to the public. Many of the trails include informational plaques or feature self guided nature walks. Please enjoy the center as a wildlife haven with a myriad of amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and resident and migratory birds. Guided programs are offered throughout the year.

We have an old hybrid in which we are trying to find ways to bring back the life of the high-voltage battery. Most people have never seen what a hybrid battery looks like or what the vehicle looks like with the battery section exposed. We will bring the vehicle to the Fair to show these two parts: battery rejuvenation and what a hybrid internal looks like.
