We are looking for a few select detail-oriented Wildcat Leaders with big personas who can project themselves across the airwaves! Students must be able to be in the library by 7:20 to ensure the broadcast starts on time. We will be starting the news at 7:35 this year. If you are not in the library by 7:20, you will not be allowed to be a part of that day's broadcast. Repeated tardies will result in your removal and replacement.

We have learned that news broadcasts run better when the team is smaller. The news will also be shorter and more streamlined this year. We will only be selecting SEVEN students for the news crew this year. Here are the positions we are looking to fill: 

1. Director - This person is the Boss. They oversee the broadcast, ensure all cast members are present and prepared, maintain order on set, and ensure the broadcast is streaming on-time and correctly. They also ensure any guest speakers are present and prepared when it is time to go-on air. This person must be present every day. This person is also the backup for every other position and must be able to fill in for a Producer, Camera person, or Anchor. 

2. Tech - This person runs the computer software that broadcasts the morning news. This person must be present every day. They must have strong computer skills and attention to detail. 

3. Camera - This person runs the camera. They are responsible for keeping batteries charged and equipment maintained. The camera person works directly with the tech person. This person must be present every day. 

4. News Anchors - There are two anchors that will sit at the desk and read the news. These people must be strong readers, charismatic, and extremely good at making sure that names are pronouced correctly. We will have a Monday/Friday Anchor Crew and a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday Anchor Crew. Anchors will not be allowed in the media center on days that they are not participating in the broadcast.

Teachers you are welcome to recommend students using this form as well. Applications will close on Friday. 

All News Crew members must have a media release on file.

Safety Patrol members are not eligible to be on News Crew.

Los estudiantes deben poder estar en la biblioteca antes de las 7:20 para garantizar que la transmisión comience a tiempo. Este año comenzaremos las noticias a las 7:35. Estas personas deben ser buenos lectores, carismáticos y extremadamente buenos para asegurarse de que los nombres se pronuncien correctamente. Tendremos una tripulación de anclaje de lunes/viernes y una tripulación de anclaje de martes/miércoles/jueves. No se permitirá a los presentadores en el centro de medios los días que no estén participando en la transmisión.

Maestros, también pueden recomendar estudiantes que utilicen este formulario. Las solicitudes se cerrarán el viernes.

Todos los miembros del equipo de noticias deben tener un comunicado de prensa archivado.

Los miembros de Safety Patrol no son elegibles para formar parte de News Crew.
